PDOI (Passive Defense Organization of Iran) (also known as Permanent Committee for Passive Defense or PDO Passive Defence Organization) was created during Ahmadinejad�s presidency under the guidance of Iran�s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and is directly responsible to the military chain of command. Its chief is appointed with by the Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff
